I was watching NBC last Thursday and came across a new show “Hit Me Baby One More Time”. This show digs out one hit wonders and bands from the past that disappeared into nothing and gives them another chance to perform.
I was delighted to see the likes of Tiffany and Arrested Development performing their signature tunes; what a blast from the past.
“Hit Me Baby One More Time” is a real attention grabber because it appeals to the viewer’s sentiment.
Music is one of those things that always triggers memories from a specific time or place. By creating a show that brings back bands and singers from the 80s and early 90s, NBC is really in tune with what its viewers want. For my generation, in particular, NBC’s new offering is a welcome blast from the past.
P.S. I can’t wait for Vanilla Ice this week!
